Cloth Inserted Packaging
CLOTH INSERTED PACKINGS
Packed with a cloth reinforcement of polyester, nylon, cotton or fiberglass fabric, cloth inserted packing adds more support and stability in gasket applications. Great abrasive resistance, versatile in many environments, resistant to oils, water temperature fluctuations and gases, these attributes make it suitable for use as a high-pressure diaphragm assistant where structural stability is required.

TYPES OF CLOTH INSERTED PACKINGS
Cloth–Inserted (CI) SBR – Regular Polyester Ply
This cloth reinforcement is an SBR compound reinforced with a close weave polyester fabric to enhance dimensional stability in flanged gasket applications with high compression loads. Suitable for use in air, hot water, low pressure steam, and hydraulic services.
Specifications:
Durometer Hardness (Shore A ± 5) | Thickness (inches) | Width (inches) | Tensile PSI | Ultimate Elongation Percent | Fabric Weight | Fabric Type | Temperature Range | Estimated Weight / Linear Ft. 1/8″ x 36″ | Oil Resistance | Features |

Cloth–Inserted (CI) SBR – Reduced Cotton Ply
Like Regular Ply, Reduced Ply stresses the need for dimensional stability in applications with high compression loads. Fabric content per thickness is either 1/8” for one ply, 3/16” for two plies, and 1/4” for three plies.

HHP–151F Cloth–Inserted (CI) Sheet
Designed for ventilating systems and flange joints for water or brine systems to withstand 250 pounds of pressure. Common applications would be flange gaskets with high-compression loads where non-reinforced rubber would squeeze or extrude out between the flanges.
