Valve-Stem Packings
VALUE-STEM PACKINGS
Also known as stem packing or bonnet packing, valve-stem material is constructed from a high-quality carbon fiber core and a PTFE shell. The result is a pliable, self-lubricating and durable material. The construction reduces friction in applications where air operated valves are used for steam, water, air and process control applications.
Valve-stem packing is designed to conform to any surface. It’s an essential component for watertight mechanical seals. Valve-stem packing is affordable, versatile, dependable and easy to install. It can be loaded with other materials such as glass fiber, silica or carbon to fit specific applications.
