Waterjet Cutting Offers Unrivaled Capabilities
For custom industrial gaskets that require precision cutting, few production methods rival waterjet cutting. Waterjets make crisp, clean cuts and are capable of cutting intricate shapes.
Waterjets cut with a stream of high-pressure water. Unlike some other cutting methods that generate heat, waterjet cutting is a cool cutting process, making it ideal for heat-sensitive and delicate materials.
They’re used to produce a wide variety of precision industrial gaskets from a variety of materials.
Materials
- Aluminum
- Stainless steel
- Bronze
- Steel
- Cast iron
- Copper
- Raw metal
- Sheet metal
- Composite materials
- Ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Kevlar
- Mold plate
- Stone
- Tool steels
Waterjet Cutting Advantages
- Can cut a wide variety of materials
- Cold cutting with no heat-affected zones and no material hardening
- Faster than many other methods
- Creates net-shape or near net-shape parts with no secondary processing in many applications
- Precision cutting reduces material waste
- Omni-directional cutting (ability to cut in any direction)
- Can perforate most materials without starting holes
- Environmentally friendly
- Reduces dust and hazardous gases
Your Source for Industrial Gaskets
Denver Rubber Company’s production facility features three state-of-the-art waterjet cutters including the Wardjet 2543-5 dual-head five-axis cutter and the X-1530 waterjet. These machines offer fast, precise, cost-efficient cutting.
Wardjet 2543-5
The Wardjet 2543-5 dual-head five-axis cutter is a revolutionary leap in waterjet cutting technology. Like most waterjets, it incorporates the traditional X-axis (back and forth), Y-axis (left and right) and Z-axis (up and down). It adds a second A -axis that angles the cutting head from the perpendicular and a C-axis that rotates around the Z-axis.
